Great mood, great weekend!!

Man, this weather!! I have been in THE greatest mood all weekend. I woke up yesterday and headed out the door only to run back in to grab a fleece. That teeny tiny little moment was enough to light my face with a smile and keep it there the entire weekend. I couldn't come up with anything profound to justify or explain my mood. Great things just kept happening to sustain it! My song came on the radio, I had a killer leg work out, my house was being cleaned, I bought some adorable tea light holders, had a lunch date with the hubby, and was on my way to Charlotte to meet Kristin for sushi (pumpkin spice latte in hand, of course!). Yes, it was a great day indeed.

Six fifteen came bright and early this morning, but all for a good cause. One of my friends has been battling an eating disorder for most of her life and has been given the opportunity to spend 6 months in rehab. A group of her friends rallied together to run "For Her" (our team name) in the 2nd annual "Run for Mercy." The testimonies delivered by the Mercy Ministry rehab graduates brought tears to my eyes. The run itself was a bit chaotic and I even managed to take a spill after sliding on gravel packed hill. I'm still picking out bits of gravel from my hands! The race was supposed to be a 5K but came up a little short due to some confusion in the planning process. Since "retiring" from distance running, I've taken a liking to sprinting and managed to finish as the second female overall. Great run (err... sprint), great cause, great, mood, great day!

I couldn't very well leave Charlotte without a pit stop into Lululemon. The Charlotte staff is incredibly personable and always strike up conversation about your fitness interests. When they take your items to the fitting room they scribble some sort of identifying feature outside of the dressing room. Their customer service is spot on (aka, I can't imagine leaving empty handed). I went on a spree today and scored 2 tanks (love and love), a sports bra, and some running shorts. Hooray!

The remainder of the day has been football-filled, lazy, and perfect! Happy weekend!
